Registration of the 2023 national examinations will begin on February 1 and close on March 31, 2023.
This was announced by Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) Chief Executive Officer David Njegere last week during the release of the 2022 KCSE results at Mitihani House.
“We are opening the portal on the 1st of Feb to 31 st of March. Kindly make sure that all eligible candidates are registered,” Njengere said.
The registration will be done online through the Knec portal https://www.knec-portal.ac.ke
The registration will cover those seeking to sit for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), and the inaugural class of Grade 6 that will also be seeking to sit for their national exams before transitioning to Junior Secondary School.
“You have two months to register for the 2023 national examinations, kindly register on time and make this easier for KNEC,” he added.
This he said will ensure candidates will not be locked out of the exams noting that previously some schools and parents waited for the last minute to submit their registration details.
He cautioned parents and teachers to make use of the deadline, noting that there would be no extension.
KCPE examinations will begin on November 6 and continue to November 9 according to 2023 education calendar released by the Ministry of Education, on Friday, January 6,
