FAKE: This digital card on missing government fertilizer is not from NTV

The media house has distanced itself from the card.

This digital card shared on Facebook supposedly from NTV Kenya is FAKE.

The card posted 4 August 2023 claims that missing government fertilizer was recovered at a house belonging to Kirinyaga senator Kamau Murango.

Though the digital card has NTV Kenya branding, it does not appear on the broadcaster’s website or Twitter and Facebook pages where it shares such cards.

In a statement on 3 August 2023, NTV distanced itself from the card and termed it fake.

“Beware of FAKE NEWS! If it’s not on our official social media pages, it’s fake,” the broadcaster said.

The Senator also disowned the card and urged the public to disregard it.

The card was also debunked by PesaCheck and AfricaCheck.
