FALSE: This photo isn't of Rongo town in Kenya 

The image is of the Ubongo Interchange in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

This post shared on X (formerly Twitter) with a photo purportedly showing Rongo Town in Migori County, Kenya is FALSE.

Published on 30th September 2023, the post alleges that the modest freeway is Rongo town.

“Rongo Town at night,” reads the post.

Mtoto News conducted a Google reverse image search and found this and this Facebook posts, which published a similar image and indicated that it was of Ubungo Interchange in Dar-es-Salaam.

A keyword search led us to The Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS) website where a photo of a road with similar features was published.

TANROADS identified the road as Ubungo Interchange in Dar-es-Salaam.

Mtoto News examined a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) with a photo purportedly showing Rongo Town in Migori County, Kenya and found it to be FALSE.
