This Video that was shared on TikTok and Twitter on 9th July 2023 supposedly of President Joe Biden aggressively sniffing a child has been ALTERED.
“Breaking News: Joe Biden was caught aggressively sniffing a child. He didn’t know he was on camera. If this was your child what would you say to Joe Biden. This man is sick and should be kept away from the children, Who is with me✋” the post accompanying the video reads.
However, the video above was altered as the original video captioned “So I met the president of the United States of America today” was posted on 10th June 2023.
We discovered the original video after the former Chair of the Democratic Party, Chris D Jackson claimed that the video we are fact-checking has been altered. He attached a link to the original video.
The original video was taken at Fort Liberty by the original creator as the hashtags #FortLiberty and #Army were used while posting the video. The original video was posted on 10th June 2023 by the Saucedo Family on TikTok. The video was likely taken at Fort Liberty, North Carolina on 9th June 2023 where President Biden was in attendance to sign an executive order designed to strengthen economic opportunities for military and veteran spouses, caregivers and survivors.
President Biden’s whisper to the child was changed and instead, sniffing sounds were added.
