CS Magoha announces News School Reopening Date

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha has announced Monday 15^th August 2022 as the new School reopening date.

In A statement, the CS said the decision had been informed by the fact that most schools were still being used as tallying centers.

“We have however been informed that the process of tallying of ballots may still be ongoing on the aforementioned date. Therefore following further consultations I hereby convey the government’s decision that Basic Education Institutions will reopen from Monday, 15^th August, 2022.”

The CS also went further to apologize for the inconveniences caused.

“We apologize for any inconvenience occasioned by these changes and ask for your indulgence, as we work through the safety and comfort of learners through this period”

The ministry of education had earlier indicated that Schools would be reopened on Monday 11^th August 2022.
