The event under the theme Empowering Young Voices. A Decade and the future of Children in Kenya is organized by the Council of Governors, Senate, and other child-minding partners commenced yesterday and will end on the 7th of July.
It seeks to provide a platform where children will engage with their governors on their issues in an event that precedes the annual devolution conference where all 47 Governors meet to discuss various issues.
The overall objective of the children’s conference will be to take stock of devolution from a child’s perspective in the following thematic areas of peace, values and cohesion, education, health, Infrastructure, energy, child protection, and environment.
