This Facebook post with an image supposedly of Kericho Town, Kenya is FALSE.
The photo shows a long stretch of road surrounded by trees and numerous houses.
“Aerial view of Kericho Town ahead of Mashujaa Day,” reads the post.
Kericho town is located in Kericho County which is in the southern part of the Rift Valley region in Kenya.
To confirm the authenticity of the photo, Mtoto News did a Google reverse image search and established that the picture is of Bucharest, Romania.
The photo was published by 123rf.com, a stock images site that identified it as Unirii Boulevard, a major road in the centre of Bucharest.
A keyword search for Unirii Boulevard led by images published by Getty and Alamy with similar features to the photo we are debunking.
