FALSE: This image isn’t of  a building in Kenya

The image is of the Axa building in Cologne, Germany.

This Facebook post with an image supposedly of a building in Kenya is FALSE.

The image shows a side view of a building with the initials AXA and what appears to be an ongoing renovation exercise.

“Kenya’s advanced construction” the caption reads.

To confirm the photo’s authenticity, Mtoto News did a Google reverse image search and established that the picture is of the AXA building in Cologne  in Germany

According to Cranes Today, Axa high-rise which is on the banks of the river Rhine in Cologne, was completed in 1973. It still provides accommodation for around 1000 people on 43 of its 45 floors.

Heavylift News published an article on 5 October 2023 with a similar image and indicated that the Axa building was undergoing renovations.

Mtoto News looked into a Facebook post with an image supposedly of a building in Kenya and found it to be FALSE
