Students from Migori County’s Oruba Boys High School contest the validity of the 2023 KCSE results, nearly all of which had a mean grade of D.
The majority of students reportedly received Ds and Es, with only two receiving a C-. The students claim that the results are shocking because they have never received such scores in their entire academic career.
There was no success in getting in touch with the principal or the exam master, among other school authorities. The students were sent to the Kenya National Examination Council by the Migori County Director of Education Office, which made no attempt at resolution.
Students are now questioning their academic performance and demanding clarification from higher education authorities due to the unexpected and unprecedented results.
